Dog
Dear Mom and Dad,
I wanted to talk to you about something that I want. What I really want is a little dog I am going to tell you the reasons why I want a dog. The first reason is because I will have lots of fun and I will get a lot of exercise playing with the dog. Another reason is because when I get a dog it will teach me to have more responsibility. The last reason is because we will have a 65% less chance of being robbed. I want a dog because I will have lots of fun playing with the dog and I will have lots of exercise. I will get lots of exercise throwing the ball to the dog and I will run around. I will be playing around with the little dog instead of watching T.V all day long. I also want a dog because it will teach me about responsibility. I will learn how to take care of my new pet, I will also learn what it takes to take care of something. The last reason that I want a dog is because I will have companionship. I will be able to have someone to play with when everybody is doing something else and I want to play.
I am going to tell you guys why all those bad ideas that you have about having a dog are not so important. I know that you think that having a dog is bad because it cost a lot of money to pay things for a dog like food, taking it to the vet, and all the important stuff but I found online a place where they have a good vet for a low price. I also know that you think it’s a bad idea because I have to remember to feed the dog and to walk the dog. I promise to walk the dog everyday even if I want to do something else and I also will remember to feed the dog everyday. I will also train the dog to be good and not to do anything bad. I will not make you guys do anything. These are some reasons why I want to get a dog. There mite have been some things that you thought were bad about having a dog but I have solutions for them. At the same time you wont have to do any work. I hope that I have convinced you. I really want a dog! I hope that you will get me a dog soon so that I will have lots of fun and I will be very happy. When I get a dog I will be out more instead of doing something that is not going to teach me anything.

This story is called “Eleven” it’s written by Sandra Cisneros. This story is about a girl named Rachel. Rachel is a girl who got sad because she had to wear a red sweater that was not hers and no one believes her. Rachel is credible because her birthday gets ruined, she is shy, and she also cried. The way that Rachel is credible is because her birthday got ruined. The way that her birthday got ruined was that her teacher made her wear an ugly red sweater that was not even hers and her teacher kept getting mad at her so she got upset. She got really upset because no one would believe her that the sweater was not hers. Rachel is credible because sometimes bad stuff can happen on peoples birthdays and even on a regular basis. Rachel is a credible eleven year old because she is shy. The way that she is shy is because she didn’t want to stand up for her self when they blamed her. They blamed her because they thought that the red sweater was hers and the kept telling her that it was hers so she started getting really mad. Rachel is credible because most kids her age are still afraid to talk to there teachers and still don’t have the courage to do anything that they are afraid of. Rachel is credible because she started to cry. Rachel started to cry because her teacher put the ugly red sweater on her desk. She got very upset because the sweater was not hers and she described it to a big redmountain right in front of her. She wanted to get the sweater of her desk so she pushed it to the edge and her teacher got mad at her and made her wear it. Rachel is credible because lots of kids cry even when it’s not a big deal. So this story was about a girl named Rachel that kept getting in trouble by her teacher and kept getting upset

The story “Becky and the Wheels and the Brake Boys” was written by James Berry. It tells of a girl named Becky who really wants a bike but can’t get one until the end of the story. Becky is a credible character. She shows that she is credible through what she feels, says, and does. Becky is believable because she wants to fit in with the other children. For example, Becky thinks, “I only want to be with Nat, Aldo, Jimmy, and Ben.” They all have bikes, and she wants one too, so she could ride and play with them. This proves that Becky is credible because lots of people have a time when they want something that will help them fit in with other kids. Becky keeps asking her mom for a bike. Becky says to herself, “Over and over I told my mom I wanted a bike.” A while later she tells her mother, “I still want to have a bike badly.” In order to get what she want, Becky thinks she has to ask several times and give reasons for how she feels toward the item. This shows Becky is believable because many kids love begging for things until they het them. Finally, another reason why Becky is a credible character is because she always fought and then makes up with her friend. As an example, Becky thinks, “For the first time me and shirnette had a real fight, because of what I hated most.” Shirnette wanted to get back at Becky because Becky had put a centipede up her shirt, so she got even by putting a cockroach in Becky’s back. This proves that Becky is a realistic character because a lot of best friends get in fights but then they make up. In conclusion, Becky, the main character in “Becky and the Wheels and Brake Boys,” is believable because of her emotions, her words, and her actions. That means that she is your average child.
